I highly recommend Geoff and his team if you are looking for first class, warm and welcoming, personal service. Receiving professional eyecare advice and guidance on what frames and sizes suited me really helped and they made the whole process fun and relaxed. I was very grateful to secure a same day, emergency appointment with Geoff Mc Conville’s opticians. Whilst there, I met Geoff and I was thoroughly assessed by Ching using the incredibly impressive, state of the art equipment. An impressive professional with a passion for detail and pride in his patient-care. After going to a number of optometrists over the years and getting ‘satisfactory’ varifocal lenses, I went to Geoff and got lenses that were ‘bang-on perfect’ ie without any near-distance distortion. The results of Geoff’s attention to detail coupled with high-precision diagnostic equipment evidently pays off in the results. Not only able to deliver quality, Geoff does so with an enigmatic charm and is supported by marvellous staff who, like him, are so accommodating and willing to help you out when you need it. The beauty of being in a ‘relationship with one’s optometrists where they know you and your needs. I can’t recommend Geoff McConville highly enough.read more

I have now been here twice to have ear wax removed by microsuction. It is much more tolerable than syringing. They only have appointments for this on Tuesdays. It is a bit pricey but worth it.

Geoff McConville is an outstanding optician, his staff are excellent and it is all set in a beautiful Georgian townhouse. I visited Geoff as some leading international optometrists had failed to provide a solution to my eye issues. Geoff's attention to detail and innovation in coming up with something that would work for me was very impressive, and the after care even more so. OUTSTANDING EYECARE
At Geoff McConville Opticians we take your eye care very seriously indeed. If you have any health issues with your eyes we will get to the bottom of it using our extensive range of high-tech equipment which far surpasses that found in any other private optometry practice in Ireland.
Our most recent addition is a world-class piece of equipment known as the Kowa 3D Camera which creates detailed stereoscopic 3D images to greatly enhance the diagnosis of glaucoma. We are the only private practice throughout Ireland with this camera. A well worthwhile investment of £270,000 to ensure we stay on the front line detecting and protecting against the ‘silent thief of sight’.
